Fees

Standard consultation fee is $250 for a 50-minute session. A Medicare rebate of $136.35  may be available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. To be eligible for the rebate Medicare requires both of the following:

• a GP Mental Health Plan

• a current letter of referral addressed to Alyssa Garrett Clinical Psychologist

A GP Mental Health Plan can be completed for many diagnosable mental health conditions. Mood and anxiety disorders are the most common diagnoses, but there are many others. If you are unsure whether you would qualify for a mental health plan, you can speak to your GP or ask me directly.

The Australian Psychological Society recommends a fee for psychologists of $300 for 45-60 minutes. It is my preference to set my fees well below the recommended fee in an effort to make good quality psychological services accessible to all.

If you are experiencing financial hardship a reduced fee may be available. Please discuss this with me and we can explore options together.

Workers Compensation and Third Party Insurance Claims

Please note that psychological consultations and reports for Workers Compensation and Third Party Insurance Claims will be charged at the APS recommended rate for psychologists.
